In Easter 2010, an application for initial funding approval ('programme entry') was submitted to the Department for Transport. Currently, a Government-wide spending review is taking place. This includes the DfT and all Major Schemes like the Penistone Road Smart Route. We will update you again on the latest information about the scheme once the outcomes of this review are known.
