Introducing detailed proposals for Bents Green and the junction of Bents Road with Ecclesall Road South

Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive are looking to improve travel along Ecclesall Road. We want to work with local residents, businesses and people who travel along the corridor to tackle congestion, improve bus journey times and reliability, and improve facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.

Earlier this year we introduced plans to develop the Ecclesall Road Smart Route. We began by asking local communities for their views on current travel problems along Ecclesall Road.

Following public feedback and detailed analysis of your views and priorities we have developed proposals that would improve travel and transport at Bents Green and at the junction where Bents Road meets Ecclesall Road South.
