Introducing the Ecclesall Road Smart Route

Everyone who travels in and around Sheffield will know that Ecclesall Road is often very busy, with congestion and delays common for all road users. Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive are working to improve travel along Ecclesall Road.

This website is designed to introduce you to the Smart Routes concept, describe our aims and rationale for improvements, and highlight the key locations that have been identified as traffic hotspots. You will also be able to have your say on proposed improvements.

By sharing your views and priorities, you can help to shape the changes along this busy route. Your views are very important as we work to improve Ecclesall Road for everyone, whether you travel on foot, by bike, by bus or by car.
