Mushroom Roundabout

Mushroom Roundabout is located between Eastwood and Dalton on the A630 and is where Fitzwilliam Road, Doncaster Road, Aldwarke Lane and Herringthorpe Valley Road all meet Since making the improvements marked on the map below [shown from A – E] and in the text below traffic flow along roads leading to the roundabout has improved.

There are traffic lights each entrance of the roundabout.

The bus lane along Fitzwilliam Road now extends extended towards the roundabout and is helping cut journey times for all road users because the bus is removed from general traffic for a longer distance.

The subway on Fitzwilliam Road has been closed and replaced with a pedestrian and cycle crossing.

There are pedestrian and cycle crossings on all of the roads that join the roundabout.

Closing the right-turn from Herringthorpe Valley Road to Doncaster Road is helping reduce congestion onto the roundabout.
